Bangladeshi woman living in Gujarat with fake Hindu identity nabbed

Ahmedabad: Special Operation Group (SOG) of Ahmedabad rural police has nabbed a Bangladeshi woman who was staying in the city with fake identity of Hindu woman illegally. Various photo identity cards of her such as Aadhar card, PAN card and passport were found in her possession with her fake Hindu name and identity.

The arrested woman’s original name was Sirina Akhtar Shamshul Hussain (33). She was originally from Sheikh Hati in Jaisor area of Bangladesh. She was living with fake Hindu identity of Sonu Hiteshbhai Joshi in live-in relationship with one Hiteshbhai Joshi. Police have recovered her Bangladeshi passport in which her name has been shown as Sirina Sheikh.

Sirina has been booked under various IPS sections including Foreigners Act. A local court has sent her to five days remand (police custody). In prima facie investigation it has been revealed that she came into contact with Hitesh Jodhi (resident of Satyesh Residency) through Facebook and later she came to India through Bangladesh passport and started living with Hitesh in live-in relationship. She also gave birth to a daughter. She didn’t want to return to Bangladesh and therefore she adopted a new name ‘Sonu Hitesh Joshi’.
