Gandhinagar: Gandhinagar district police has sent a proposal to state home department for setting up a new police station in Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT) city, Gandhinagar. The proposal is likely to receive the approval in the upcoming budget next year.

At present, GIFT city is under Dabhoda police station. However, considering the increased number of residential and commercial areas in GIFT city area, Gandhinagar district police have decided to establish a new police-station for GIFT city. In this new police station of Police Inspector level, the surrounding institutional zone will be also included in addition to GIFT city. DeshGujarat
