Parikrama of 51 Shakti Peeths built on foothills of Ambaji Gabbar Hill planned

Ambaji: The mandir authorities of Ambaji Mata Mandir are likely to allow the devotees to perform parikrama of the replicas of the 51 Shakti Peeths built at Gabbar Hills from next year.
The collector of Banaskantha and chairman of Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust Anand Patel informed that they are planning to allow pilgrims to perform circumambulation of the 51 Shakti Peeths from February or March next year. The final date will be announced after the discussion with Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board.
Replicas of 51 Shakti Peeth temples had been built at a cost of Rs 61.57 crores and its foundation stone laying was performed in the year 2008. In 2014, the work of setting up 47 replicas and 3 caves was completed. The circumambulation is expected to take about 3 to 4 hours. The mandir authorities are planning to allow devotees to take this journey over a period of 3 to 4 days in a year.
