ACB Gujarat nabs two officials of Land Record Office in bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed in-charge deputy director and in-charge head clerk of land record office in Surat in a bribe case of Rs 30,000.
According to ACB, accused in-charge deputy director K.P. Gamit had demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 from complainant via accused in-charge head clerk Girishbhai Mohanlal Patel for the order of approving the complainant’s first higher pay scale.
The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused head clerk was found accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant on the behalf of the accused in-charge deputy director during a trap executed by ACB. ACB has detained both the accused. DeshGujarat
