Diversion of subsidized urea to industry: Surat Police book two

Surat: Pandesara police and agriculture department officers seized 10 bags of subsidized fertilizers from a textile mill in Pandesara GIDC (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation) industrial township.
The Pandesara Police has filed a crime against the owner of Annapurna Industries Private Limited, Shivkumar Murlidhar Agrawal and manager Narayan Ashopa on complaint filed by agriculture officer Krupaben Ghetiya.
Total 10 bags, each having 45 kg weight were found containing neem coated urea produced by Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO) Hazira. The bags were for agricultural use and therefore subsidized by the government. However they were diverted for industrial use in textile mill. Police have sent the sample of the urea at Bardoli lab for checking. DeshGujarat
