GFL factory blast and fire incident; death toll rises to seven

Gandhinagar: The SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) found dead bodies of two more workers in a search operation in the morning today, taking the total number of deaths in the fire accident at Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd (GFL) in Ghoghamba to seven.
Total 4 out of 7 deceased workers could be recognised. The DNA tests will be done to identify the remaining 3 dead bodies. Out of the two dead bodies found today, only the leg remains of one dead body could be found which are sent for post mortem at Halol referral hospital.
The assistant manager of the MPI 2 named Suhas Kanchanbhai Rohit (age: 34) of the GFL company is missing. He was in the general shift on Thursday. His mobile phone was found in the control room.
The HR manager of the company Jignesh Shah has declared to provide relief of Rs 20 lakh to the family members of the deceased workers and Rs 7 lakh to the seriously injured workers. Rajgadh police station has filed a case of accidental death. The investigation is started by GPCB, FSL and factory inspector in addition to Rajgadh police.
The fire accident had occurred at GFL company MPI-1 plant in Ranjitnagar in Ghoghamba on Thursday with a massive blast. DeshGujarat
