Gandhinagar: Seven Gujarat cadre IPS of year 2004-2006-2007 batches are given promotions to DIG rank.

Deepan Bhadran (2007 batch) has been promoted to DIG rank with his transfer to Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat. Bhadran is presently the Superintendent of Police for Jamnagar district.

Other IPS officers DH Parmar (2004 batch), ML Ninama (2006 batch), Superintendent of CID Crime Saurabh Tolumbia(2007 batch) , Makarand Chauhan(2007 batch) , RM Pande(2007 batch) and Parixita Rathod (2007 batch) are also promoted to DIG rank.

Makrand Chauhan has been appointed to the post of Joint Director, Anti Corruption Bureau, Ahmedabad. He is presently DCP Zone-3 in Ahmedabad.

Parixita Rathod has been appointed to the post of DIG, CID (Crime), Gandhinagar. She is presently SP (Western Railways) in Ahmedabad.

RM Pande has been appointed to the post of DIG (Armed Units), Vadodara. He is presently Commandant of SRPF Group-20 in Viramgam.

Other officials are promoted to DIG rank on their existing post.
