ACB Gujarat nabs Municipal Engineer in Rs. 2 lakh bribe case

Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a planning assistant and a municipality authorized engineer of Radhanpur municipality in Patan district in a bribe case of Rs 2,00,000.
The complainant had made an application for a certificate of Building Usage (BU) permission after the construction of a building complex of his ownership. The accused planning assistant Sarsijsing Malsing Jadav had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,00,000 from the complainant to issue the BU permission certificate. He has asked the complainant to pay the bribe to the accused municipality authorized engineer Sanjay Natvarlal Prajapati. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused municipality authorized engineer was found taking a bribe of Rs 2,00,000 from the complainant on behalf of the accused planning assistant during a trap executed by ACB.
