Flying knives are back; Incidents of throat injuries due to lethal kite strings reported

Bharuch: Flying knives are back. As many as 3 incidents of throat injuries due to kite strings are reported in Bharuch within 19 hours.

Out of the 3 victims of lethal kite strings, one person died, while two people were injured. A 35-year-old female named Ankita Hirenkumar Mistri, living in Arunoday bungalows at Zadesvar road was going to Shaktinath with her 9-year-old daughter on Activa on Saturday. She got serious injuries on neck due to a kite string when passing from Bholav Bhrugurushi bridge. She was taken to civil hospital in 108 ambulance but she died before getting treatment due to severe injury.

Another victim, a 50-year old man named Mansukh Kanjibhai Parmar, living in Jivandip society had also got injuries due to kite string when passing besides Haridwar society on Activa. He was taken to civil hospital in 108 ambulance and he survived.

Other accidents related to pre-Uttarayan kite flying are also reported from Southern Gujarat, such as deaths and injury to persons who fell from terraces. DeshGujarat
