Mahesh Savani leaves AAP

Surat: Realtor Mahesh Savani has today left Aam Admi Party (AAP) and declared retirement from active politics. Savani said he was unable to spend time for his social works, family, business and health due to his involvement in AAP.

Savani said he thinks he should do service for people. When asked whether he would join BJP, Savani replied that he wants to serve the people and he would think whatever that is best choice to serve the people. He clarified that he was only interested in serving the people. Savani said he was not holding any post in AAP, and he was not interested for any post.

Savani said, his adopted daughters also told him that he was not able to spare time due to his involvement in politics and he was not a man of politics. It’s worth noting that Savani has arranged weddings of hundreds of orphan girls, whom he considers his daughters.

Savani said he earlier had thought that he would be able to serve the people double or triple after joining politics, but after joining politics he realized that he could deliver even less to people as he was occupied much in politics.

Savani said he was purely a man of service and he was not comfortable entering into debates with others due to his involvement in politics.

Savani had joined AAP in the last week of June last year in presence of Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP leader Manish Sisodia. Within six to seven months, he has left the party. Savani was one of three top faces of AAP in Gujarat. Earlier today, another top face of AAP, folk singer and Maldhari Samaj bhuva priest Vijay Suvala also left AAP and joined BJP in presence of State party chief CR Patil. DeshGujarat
