People from Gujarat took away everything from economy of UP : Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav informed the media that he is going to appeal the Election Commission (EC) to send the people of Gujarat campaigning for the Uttar Pradesh state assembly election in Uttar Pradesh back.

While speaking to media persons at Lucknow he claimed while addressing the media in Lucknow, “They (people from Gujarat) have reached here (Uttar Pradesh) a month ago. Their training was conducted in Lucknow. It was basically ‘training the trainer’. It means, they were trained here and they will train others. The people from Gujarat have arrived in Uttar Pradesh in advance, who doesn’t know this?”

He added, “The people from Gujarat have taken away everything from the economy(of UP), won’t you claim that? I remember that an MLA from Surat, Gujarat had met him in London after year 2014 assembly election of UP. I asked him why he had come to UP(during the elections). He said he had been in Banaras. I told him that they spread many things in the election. He replied that they hadn’t just spread but also distributed(the things).”

SP president Akhilesh Yadav claimed that none of their karyakarta from other states has arrived there for campaigning due to observing the covid-19 protocols. He said that they will make a written complaint to the EC. He appealed to the journalists to make and give him a list of those who have arrived in UP from Gujarat for election campaign so that such people can be sent back to their regions as per covid-19 protocols.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sanjiv Singh said that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is giving such statements due to political disappointment and his defeat is visible to him.
