Create a helpline to receive complains regarding stray cattle: Gujarat HC

Gandhinagar: Gujarat high court has instructed the legal service authorities of the state to start a toll-free helpline and e-plaza for making complaints of stray cattle along with photographs in Ahmedabad.
Gujarat high court had issued detailed orders in 2018 for the issues of traffic parking, poor roads and stray cattle. A contempt petition was filed in the high court alleging that the order was not followed and issues still exist. The hearing was done by the bench of chief justice Arvind Kumar and justice Ashutosh J Shastri. The state government claimed in the hearing that several areas of the city are declared as cattle free zones. The chief justice instructed that the legal service authorities should be involved in this case. A toll-free helpline should be started. The solution should be made as per each case and complaint and the authority will make a report on its basis. Chief justice Arvind Kumar mentioned the issue of stray dogs. He said that he was advised not to walk on the roads due to the nuisance of stray dogs. He said that he likes dogs and has two pet dogs but our pleasure should not cause harm to others. The next hearing is scheduled on 19th January.
