Some political appointees in Board, Aayog, Akademi to step down

Gandhinagar: State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president CR Patil has received resignations from politically appointed chairmen of five different boards/corporations under the state government. It is learnt that Patil had held meetings with the chairmen of the five boards and asked for their report cards. The persons whose resignation is accepted include Lilaben Ankoliya- chairman of Mahila Aayog, Dhansukh Bhanderi- chairman of Gujarat Municipal Finance Board, Pankaj Bhatt- chairman of sangeet natak akademi and Vimal Upadhyay- chairman of Bin Ananmat Nigam. The new appointments are likely to be made on these positions.
