ACB Gujarat nabs another Talati in bribe case

Vadodara: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed talati cum mantri of Jarod gram panchayat in Waghodia taluka of Vadodara district in a bribe case of Rs 70,000.

The complainant had bought land in Jarod village after getting a bill of sales at a cost of Rs 15,00,000. One inheritor out of the inheritors of the person selling this land had died. The accused talati cum mantri Sunil Jethabhai Patel had demanded a bribe of Rs 1,00,000 from the complainant to remove that inheritor’s name from 7/12 document and issue final note.

The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay a bribe. The accused demanded a bribe of Rs 70,000 after arguments after the complainant asked him to reduce the amount of bribe during the trap executed by ACB. The accused was found accepting the bribe of Rs 70,000 from the complainant during the trap. The accused Talati cum mantri is detained. DeshGujarat
