Gujarat govt to purchase Tuver, Chana, Raydo at MSP from farmers

Gandhinagar: The state government will directly purchase pigeon peas, chickpeas and mustards crop produce from the farmers at Minimum Support Price (MSP) in the state. Agriculture minister Raghavjibhai Patel made this announcement today.
The purchase will be made by the state government appointed Gujarat State Cooperative Marketing Federation Ltd, Ahmedabad from 15th February for pigeon peas and from 1st March for chickpeas and mustards at MSP for Kharif/Rabi season 2021-22. The central government has declared the MSP of Rs 1260 per 20 kg for pigeon peas, Rs 1050 per 20 kg for chickpeas and Rs 1010 per 20 kg for mustards for 2021-22.
The online registration at free cost of the farmers willing to sell pigeon peas, chickpeas and mustard crops at MSP will be made by VCE at local or rural level from 1st to 28th February 2022. The required documents such as copy of Aadhar card, latest revenue record document 7/12, 8A copy, document of crop sowing with signed and stamped by talati if the entry of the same is not made in village document 12, details of bank account with the farmer’s name including copy of bank passbook or cancelled check should be brough for the registration. The online registration is mandatory for selling the crops at MSP.
