Gandhinagar: Gujarat has recorded 16,608 fresh cases of covid-19 infection in 24 hours period against recovery of 17,467 covid patients and deaths of 28. The State has now 34,261 active covid cases in latest.

The fresh cases recorded in cities; Ahmedabad 5303, Vadodara 3041, Rajkot 1376, Surat 1004, Jamnagar 357, Gandhinagar 309, Bhavnagar 293, Junagadh 66.

Among 28 fresh deaths, 10 were in Ahmedabad city, 2 each in Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar city and Jamnagar district and 3 in Surat district among others.

Over 2.43 lakh doses of covid vaccines were administered in a day, taking the Statewide total above 9.67 crore so far.
