Rupala begins Sagar Parikrama covering Gujarat coast

Gandhinagar: Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parsottam Rupala will start the ‘Sagar Parikrama’ from 5th March-Saturday for face-to-face meeting with the fishermen.
The first phase of the sagar parikrama will start from tomorrow from Shyamji Krishna Varma memorial at Mandvi in Kutch and end at Porbandar on 6th March. The coast of 8118 km at 9 coastal states and 4 union territories will be covered in the parikrama. Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parsottam Rupala will meet the fishermen face-to-face and know their problems. He will also inform them about various schemes of the central government for them. National fisheries development board, fisheries department, Government of Gujarat, Indian Coast Guard, and Gujarat maritime board has jointly planned the sagar parikrama.
