Bhumi Pujan for a new medical college in Surat on March 27

Surat: The bhumi pujan ceremony of a new medical college by Kiran Hospital at Vadod village in Olpad taluka of Surat will take place on Sunday- 27th March.

The new medical college with 150 seats will be set up across 65 thousand vaar of land in Vadod. The bhumi pujan will be performed at the hands of Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel. MBBS and post graduate courses will be taught in the college. The college is likely to start functioning from the next academic year after taking all the approvals in 6 months. The medical college will be at a distance of 2 km from outer ring road of Vadod village. The college will be built by Samasta Patidar Aarogya Trust run Kiran Hospital. The college will have modern facilities and technologies.

The bhumi pujan will take place at DD sports complex of Variyav at 9 am on 27th March. The state BJP chief CR Patil, Union State Minister of Railways and Textiles Darshana Jardosh, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, state education minister Jitu Vaghani, state health minister Rushikesh Patel, minister of roads and building Purnesh Modi, Bardoli MP Prabhubhai Vasava, state home minister Harsh Sanghavi, mayor Hemali Boghawala, VNSGU vice chancellor KN Chavda and other leaders will remain present in the ceremony.
