Ahmedabad: A Nirma University’s Institute of Technology graduate got the highest ever annual pay package of Rs 88.21 lakh during the placements.

The offer was made by Bloomberg UK. The salary is 90 percent higher than the package of Rs 46.47 lakh offered last year. The highest salaries offered to MCA and MTech students are Rs 14.02 lakh and Rs 22.47 lakh respectively. The average salaries for BTech, MCA and MTech were Rs 7.82 LPA, Rs 4.59 LPA and Rs 8.87 LPA respectively. The maximum number of offers were received by the undergraduates in computer science and engineering.

Total 596 students secured job offers from 124 companies. The Director General of Nirma University Dr Anup K Singh said that they have witnessed ‘revenge hiring’ post covid pandemic. The trend may continue for at least another 2 years, he added.
