Vadnagar Hatkeshwar Mahadev Mandir renovation Phase-2 kicks off

Vadnagar: The phase-2 of the renovation of Hatkeshwar Mahadev mandir in Vadnagar has started, after the allocation of Rs 4.22 crore by the state government. The renovation of garbhagriha, sabha mandap and shikhar of the mandir will be done in phase 2. The phase-1 of the renovation was completed at a cost of Rs 18 crore. A yagna shala and a reception center will be also built at the mandir as part of renovation. The broken idols at the mandir will be restored. Hatkeshwar Mahadev mandir in Vadnagar is about 2000 years old. The darshan at garbhagriha and puja has been restricted at present due to renovation. Though, the aarti is performed daily and the devotees can perform darshan from outside.
