Six lane Bagodara – Tarapur highway inaugurated

Gandhinagar: CM Bhupendra Patel dedicated a 54- km six lane highway developed at Bagodara-Tarapur-Vasad at a cost of Rs 649 crore.

The roads and buildings department of the state has decided to undertake the transformation of the whole route of Bagodara-Tarapur-vasad into a six lane highway in 2 packages. It had completed the work of a 6-lane highway of Tarapur-Vasad at a cost of Rs 1005 crore in October 2021. CM Patel today dedicated the development of 6-lane highway of 54-kms from Bagodara to Tarapur completed by the roads and buildings department in Package-1 at a cost of Rs 649 crore, in the presence of roads and buildings minister Purnesh Modi.

The 101-km road developed in 2 parts- 47 kms of Vasad to Tarapur and 54 kms of Tarapur to Bagodara is built at a cost of crores of rupees, informed roads & buildings minister Purnesh Modi and added that the route will be a bridge for transportation for lakhs of citizens of south and mid Gujarat.

Bagodara-tarapur 6-lane road is a section of the shortest 6-lane road connecting Saurashtra zone, middle Gujarat and South Gujarat. It has 2 large bridges, one railway overbridge, one small bridge, 14 underpasses, 19-km service road, 1 toll plaza, and an ultramodern advanced traffic management system. Moreover, 32 bus stands, surveillance system with high tech cameras, speed display system, variable message display system are also used for the 6-lane road.
