AAP Gujarat president, others arrested by Surat Police

Surat: Ten persons including Aam Admi Party (AAP) chief Gopal Italiya are held today by Udhna Police for rioting and other offences. Total 16 persons are booked in this case, over the incident in which AAP leaders and cadres rushed to local BJP office for protest.
According to police complaint, Italiya and 15 to 20 others reached BJP office at around 12.10 pm when police was already present there for bandobast. Police had stopped them and asked if they had any permission to hold protest programme. As they had no police permission, police asked to leave or face the action. After this, AAP protesters started shouting even louder slogans. They were rounded up by applying minimum force and placed in police van.
The accused were identified as Gopal Italiya, Mathur Baldaniya, Shravan Joshi, Dilibhai Ahir, Ratnakar Jaina, Gajendrasingh Rathod, Pankaj Dhameliya, Suraj Ahir, Ajay Dudhat, Dinesh Kachhadiya, Kamlesh Gohel, Rambhai Dhaduk, Vanda Salve, Nitaben Patel, Shobhna Vaghani and Saina Mallik.
The accused are booked under IPC sections 143, 145, 146 and 147.DeshGujarat
