Gujarat CM gives hearing to Congress delegation in Rajkot over public issues

Rajkot: In an unusual gesture, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today heard complains and suggestions over public issues from a delegation of local Congress leaders in Rajkot and also assured action to resolve the issues. The Chief Minister was in Rajkot to attend various functions and meetings. Local Congress leaders had sought his time and requested to give them hearing.

Among those in Congress delegation were party general secretary Rajput, State Congress vice president Gayatriba Vaghela, Leader of Opposition in the Rajkot Municipal Corporation, Bhanuben Sorani and former LoP Pravin Rathod among others.

Congress members demanded full-time superintendent in Rajkot civil hospital, full-time police commissioner for the city, waiver of penalty interest on unpaid property tax and more.The delegation members also demanded to halt spot recovery of unpaid traffic e-memos from vehicle owners and stop private schools from increasing fees.
