Gujarat CM dedicates CFC for jewelry sector in Rajkot

Rajkot: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel dedicated the Common Facility Center (CFC) built by the Jewellery Cluster Federation Rajkot at Diwanpara in Rajkot from a grant of Rs 6 crore.

CM Patel said that CFC will emerge as ‘Growth Engine’ for the gems & jewelry sector in Rajkot. Over 1.5 lakh persons in Rajkot are into the Gems and Jewellery sector and around 15 thousand units are operating in Rajkot.

The CFC is fully funded by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of the central government. It is conceptualised and implemented by Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). It aims to provide the small scale units access to state-of-the-art technology at a fraction of the cost.

Jewellery Cluster Federation president Chandreshbhai Patadiya gave an outline about how the latest machines at the center will help in jewellery manufacturing. The center is equipped with the latest machinery imported from the USA, Italy, Germany and Turkey. The center is spread across 2300 square feet of carpet area. A video film about the usefulness of CFC was also presented on this occasion. DeshGujarat
