Gandhinagar: Given the vast scope for integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Mechatronics and Robotics, the team of IIT-Gandhinagar (IIT-Gn) is looking to rope in a known name in AI like L&T Technological Services (LTTS) in order to create skilled talent with knowledge and practical training for creating an AI ecosystem while giving academia an opportunity to work on relevant technologies.

Leadership teams from LTTS and IIT-Gn on Saturday held wide ranging discussions on ways of collaborating to deliver very advanced solutions to critical problems in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Mechatronics.

LTTS focuses on delivering AI solutions for a wide range of industries whereas IIT-Gn has expertise in creating disruptive technologies in the areas of Mechatronics and Robotics. The collaboration of both these players – one from the corporate world and the other from academia – will lead to research and advancements in AI and Mechatronics.

The collaboration between these two players could be in the area of establishing labs, working together on projects, and harnessing the potential of students via internships. The partnership will also look at organizing workshops and seminars on smart manufacturing, robotics, bio-mechatronics and ‘intelligent’ product and systems. DeshGujarat
