Gandhinagar: The Congress party has chalked out a strategy at the ‘Chintan Shivir’ for the forthcoming assembly polls in Gujarat as part of which the party has divided the state into four zones with one big rally to be organised in each. Further, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will personally attend each of these rallies.

The preparatory meeting for the rally for the Saurashtra zone will be organised on May 19 in Rajkot, for the south zone it will be organised in Surat on May 21, for the central zone in Vadodara on May 22, and in Mehsana for the North Zone on May 23.

The Congress party has agreed to adopt the same campaign strategy as in 2017. Every known leader of the Congress party is expected to take part in the Gujarat campaign and establish direct contact with the people of both urban and rural areas of the state ahead of the elections. At the same time, it is also learnt that the Congress leaders will drop soft-Hindutva as they think it is not rewarding enough and they will refrain from visiting Mandirs. DeshGujarat
