Gyanvapi Masjid Survey: Shiviling found inside the well

Varanasi: On the third and last day of the court-mandated videography survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex in Banaras, The lawyer from the Hindu side Mr. Vishnu Jain, said that Shiva linga was found inside the well of the mosque, and we have demanded its protection from the court.
A Varanasi Court has passed an order dictating the District Magistrate of Varanasi to seal the location where shiva linga is found with immediate effect. The order also said that no person is allowed to enter the premises.
The Court Order said that DM Varanasi, Police Commissioner, and CRPF commanders will be responsible for the protection of the site.
As per the historical records, Gyanvapi masjid was built after partial demolition of Vishwanath mandir and by replacing it. DeshGujarat
