Vadnagar International Conference to kick off on May 18 in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate 3-day Vadnagar international Conference on 18th May on ‘World Museum Day’ at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
The inauguration will take place in the presence of Union Minister of State for culture Meenakshi Lekhi and representatives of UNESCO from various countries. The conference is held jointly by the Ministry of Culture of the central government and sports, youth & cultural department of the state government from 18th to 20th May. The conference will be a platform for building a strategy and mutual thought exchange for developing Vadnagar as ‘Land Mark Heritage Destination’, states a note. Over 2 thousand people including 8 international speakers and 20 national speakers, UNESCO representatives, authors, historians, archeologists, locals of Vadnagar, representatives of various institutes such as CEPT university, IIT Gandhinagar, Deccan college Pune and young students will participate in the conference.
The discussion sessions will cover subjects like Vadnagar history, legacy and cultural importance, archeological sites of Vadnagar, water management, traditional methods of water conservation, Buddhist Heritage, global possibilities for development of archeological museums and so on. DeshGujarat
