Surat: The landing of Boeing-777 aircraft will be possible at Surat airport after the modification of the runway and apron area. The process of modification of the runway and apron has started at Surat airport.

Surat airport has a 2905 meter long runway at present which allows landing of airbus-320 aircraft. The aircraft such as airbus-320 can be easily turned at the runway ending at present. Boeing-777 aircraft can be landed but it is difficult to turn them at the runway ending at present.

The runway ending towards Vesu area will be expanded to allow easy turning of Boeing-777 aircraft at the runway ending. The way which connects the runway and apron will also be expanded. The parking of 19 flights will be possible at the apron after the modification. DeshGujarat
