Patan: After having organized its ground breaking ceremony in 2018, a 1000 seater sports complex has finally been completed at Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University campus at an expense of Rs 8.5 crore in three years and it will be inaugurated very soon. This is the largest sports complex of its kind in North Gujarat with facilities fit to play any local, national or international games.

The students of 500 colleges affiliated to the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University will be able to prepare for any inter college or inter university competition at this state-of-the-art sports complex.

This sports complex has a hall 50 m x 30 m which can be used to play volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, kho kho, and kabaddi. Another hall of 20 m x 19.5 m has been built for badminton. A third hall of 13 m x 15 m has been developed for playing all indoor games including table tennis.

The sports complex also has a separate facility where sportsmen can exercise and practice and it also has a proper parking facility outside. DeshGujarat
