Banas Dairy starts Andhra operations

Palanpur: The Banaskantha District Co-operative Milk Producers Union Limited (BDCMPUL), popularly known as Banas Dairy, has started a milk packaging plant at Atchutapuram neighborhood of Vishakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh.
Launched in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh government, the plant aims to scale up the sale of Amul fresh milk in the South Indian market. This plant, in particular, will launch the Amul fresh milk in the Vishakhapatnam belt to cover Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Konaseema and Anakapalle by mid-June.
Besides the milk packaging plant, Banas Dairy has also set up a milk chilling center in Andhra. The plans, according to Banas Dairy officials, are to set up 5 milk chilling centers in the south Indian state. DeshGujarat
