Gujarat Cong leader Bharatsinh Solanki makes distasteful comments about Ram temple in Ayodhya

Anand: Gujarat Congress leader Bharatsinh Solanki is in the line of fire after he made completely distasteful comments regarding the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya.

Solanki said, “Women were so naïve that they would apply tilak on the bricks, worship them before they were sent to Ayodhya to be used in the construction of the Ram temple. What has happened to those bricks? Dogs used to pee on them,” while speaking at a public meeting.

There is lot of anger in the people of the state against such unrestrained use of language by Solanki, especially in the case of the Ram temple which is a matter of faith for 135 crore people of India. They want to know whether the greed for votes justifies use of such vulgar language just to appease a certain section of voters?

The BJP too has expressed its objection to Solanki’s statements. A BJP leader said that Congress all the right to criticize the BJP, but how can they stoop to this level by uttering such despicable words for Lord Ram? He is the unquestioned deity of the Hindus but by belittling him and portraying him in poor light, the Congress’s agenda is to appease people from the community to which AIMIM Gujarat president, Danish Qureshi, belongs.

Qureshi was himself arrested by the Ahmedabad police last week for a lewd tweet about a Shivling that has allegedly been found inside the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi. He was later released on bail. DeshGujarat
