Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has today announced its new Telecom Infrastructure Policy – 2022. Under the new policy, the permissions for underground telegraph infrastructure (UTI) and overground telegraph infrastructure (OTI) will be available through a single window clearance pattern.

The policy is an integrated one connecting all administrative departments of the State, for installation of optical fiber and mobile towers. The policy has been made by Science and Technology department of State government. It is in tune with the central government’s policy of year 2016.

As per the new policy, the entire procedure of permissions for setting up the telegraph infrastructure will be made online. A 60 days time limit has been fixed for approvals.
