Preparations on in full swing at Atkot for Prime Minister Modi’s visit

Rajkot: Atkot, a village in Jasdan taluka on the banks of the Bhadar river with a population of 10,000-11,000 people, has never before in its history witnessed preparations on the scale as currently underway for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. The prime minister is coming to Atkot to inaugurate a multi-speciality hospital developed by the Patel Seva Samaj Trust.

He is expected to address a public meeting after the inauguration where a huge crowd of not less than 2 lakh is expected to turnout. All those who come will be offered Mahaprasad, and a record number of people are expected to partake of it. A massive dome has been erected for the lunch in expectation of a huge turnout from around 5,000 villages in and around Saurashtra. People from 60 villages near Atkot and Jasdan will arrive beating their drums and with a DJ playing the music. The Prime Minister will be welcomed by 5,000 women. As many as 700 students from 14 colleges of Morbi will be coming for the programme.

The organizers have rented as many as 300 ST buses in advance to ferry people for the programme from villages in every nook and corner of Saurashtra.

Private vehicles and State Transport buses from various villages of Saurashtra will ferry people for the PM’s programme because of which routes will be diverted. The BJP state president and home minister have conducted a review for the programme.

The Prime Minister will arrive in Rajkot in a special aircraft and will reach Atkot by helicopter. The countdown for the PM’s arrival having already started, police S.O.G have already been issued ‘stand to’ orders.

The police are already making strict checks at the spot. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state BJP president, CR Patil and union ministers Rupala, Mandaviya and Munjpara, whereas state ministers of education, agriculture, home affairs, health and family welfare as well as forests will be on the dais with the PM.

1. 12 pilots and 5 helicopters arrived in Rajkot, Atkot. 5 helipads have been prepared near the spot for the programme.

2. The S.P.G.F and Chetak commandos have taken their positions and strict checks are being conducted.

3. Flying drones in Jasdan has been strictly prohibited.

4. Top police officials with a force of 1,500, collector, 6 Dy Collectors, 9 Mamlatdars along with other administrative officials have been assigned responsibilities

5. For VVIPs in Atkot, Rajkot, 5 emergency wards have been readied, specialist doctors will be on stand by

6. The final touches in the form of green room, P.M.O, satellite phone, Internet, 12 ambulances, and fire brigade to the programme spot. DeshGujarat
