Postal department conducts pilot test of parcel delivery using drone in Kutch, Gujarat

Bhuj: The Department of Posts successfully conducted a pilot test for delivery of parcels through drones in Kutch today as part of the Drone Mahotsav 2022.
In the pilot test, a drone successfully delivered a medicine parcel covering an aerial distance of 46 kms in 30 minutes. The delivery testing of parcels through drones was conducted at 3 places across the country including Kutch.
The parcel was delivered from Habay to Ner-bandhadi in Kutch through the drone in pilot testing. The testing was conducted by the assistant director from Rajkot and 4 experts from Delhi under the guidance of Ministry of Communication.
The postal department in Kutch is likely to soon get a drone for parcel deliveries in difficult areas.
Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 is organised at Pragati Medan in New Delhi on 27th and 28th May. It was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi. DeshGujarat
