Ahmedabad: Muslims populated areas of wall city Ahmedabad observed a bandh yesterday protesting over the remarks by suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma earlier today.

A group of Muslims including children shouted slogans and displayed posters in wall city. One of the Muslim children during the protest in Ahmedabad after Juma namaz earlier today carried a poster portraying swords and the beheading act. The line on the poster reads ‘sar tan se juda’ (head separated from the body).

In the Mirzapur area of wall city, Muslim women were also seen protesting in large numbers on the roads after Juma Namaz.
