Bharuch: The residents of the Dholi Kui area of Bharuch have submitted a memorandum to the district collector protesting the violation of the Disturb Area Act after a shop in a commercial complex was allegedly sold to a member of the minority community.
The memorandum states that Sahajanand Complex, the building in question, has been developed on land owned by two Hindus. According to the residents, shop number G-14 in Sahajanand Complex has been sold to a member of the minority community. The memorandum further adds that the Dholi Kui area is predominantly a Hindu area and Disturb Area Act must be strictly implemented here.
The memorandum urges the collector to take immediate action in the matter of the sale of a shop in Sahajanand Complex to a Muslim. The residents have expressed fears of communal riots breaking out in the area if such activities continue unchecked.
A copy of the memorandum has also been sent to the roads and construction minister, to the minister in charge of the district, and to the deputy chief whip of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. DeshGujarat.
