Gandhinagar: An 80 meter road known for Raysan petrol pump in the State capital Gandhinagar has been named after Hiraben Modi, mother of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi. The road will be called Pujya Hiraba Marg. This announcement was made today by Mayor of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) Hitesh Makwana.

Hiraben Modi lives in Raysan area with her younger son Pankajbhai Modi. PM Narendrabhai Modi comes to meet his mother occasionally without much security and also breaks bread with her.

Mayor Hitesh Makwana said, the road which is going to be named after Pujya Hiraba is the same where she is living at present.

Hiraba is going to enter the 100th year of her life on June 18. Her son and country’s Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi is likely to visit her on this occasion either on 17th or 18th June. DeshGujarat
