DG Civil Aviation approves new apron at Rajkot Airport to park 6 aircraft

Rajkot: The approval to park four more flights on Rajkot Airport’s apron instead of the current permission to park only two flights has come as a major relief because technical defects used to cause a delay or even outright cancellation of flights.

Currently, a large and a small Boeing aircraft can only be parked at the Rajkot Airport. However, to improve the situation, approval for a new apron was sought from the Director General (DG) of Civil Aviation two months back. That approval has now been granted. Because of this, even if a technical problem crops up in an aircraft, the flight arriving after it or the flight departing from the airport need not be cancelled. DeshGujarat
