Gujarat Bank Workers Union calls for a strike in all nationalized banks in the state on 27th June

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Bank Workers Union has called for a strike of all the nationalised banks in the state on 27th June over various demands.
The nationalised banks will remain closed for continuous 3 days from 25th, 26th and 27th June. The bank will remain closed on 25th June due to the holiday of the fourth Saturday and on 26th June due to the Sunday holiday. The bank associations such as the All India Bank Employees Association, and the United Forum of Bank Union are in support of the strike.
The striked is called over various demands such as
1. Withdrawing the new pension scheme after April 2010 and re-implement the old pension scheme for the employees and officials.
2. Holidays on every Saturday and Sunday for banks.
3. Provision of updation in the rules of pension from time to time. DeshGujarat
