Rajkot: Speculations are rife that Congress MLA from Dhoraji – Upleta seat, Lalit Vasoya may join ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Vasoya is first time MLA. He rose through Patidar quota agitation in year 2015 and won in 2017 general elections of State assembly as Hardik Patel’s aid. Hardik has recently joined BJP.

The speculations regarding Vasoya’s possible switchover triggered after the screenshots of Dhoraji-Upleta congress MLA Lalit Vasoya leaving the WhatsApp groups of congress party went viral on social media a few weeks ago. Vasoya left the WhatsApp groups of Jasdan Congress Parivar, Rajkot Jilla Congress, and Rajkot Jilla Congress Samiti 2022 eleven days ago, as per the screenshots.

In latest he has also posted a photo of him discussing with former BJP Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, in his WhatsApp status. The picture was clicked in a program of unveiling the statue of Shahid Veer Ramesh Jogal on 1st June in Upleta. Congress MLA Lalit Vasoya had remained present at Bhagwat Saptah organised by Jetpur BJP MLA Jayesh Radadiya in Jamkandorna. BJP MLA Jayesh Radadiya had welcomed him with a memento.
