Gandhinagar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the list of seat prabharis for 42 assembly seats. Out of 42 seats, 40 are from Central Gujarat region while 2 are from Saurashtra region. The party had earlier announced the lists of Seat prabharis from North Gujarat and Saurashtra regions. Seat Prabharis need to camp at the assembly seat area allocated to them and take responsibility for the victory of the party in that seat. Seat prabharis work as per instruction of party leaders and play role in entire process of election right from the smelling the ground, communication with party leadership regarding the ground situation, selection of candidate, campaign, and election-day management. Those appointed as seat prabhari generally are not given ticket to contest the election.
