Those having four-wheelers removed from NFSA list in Gandhinagar district

Gandhinagar: The district administration of Gandhinagar has converted over 4.5 thousand NFSA cards into ‘non-use’. These NFS card holder were found owning a four-wheeler.

The government has formed several standards for NFSA card holders and instructed cancellation of NFSA cards of those families owning a four-wheeler or car. Gandhinagar district administration had requested a list of car owners from RTO and received a list of 4 lakh car owners to the supply department 4 months ago. The district administration checked the addresses of car owners and matched with the record of NFSA card holders through Mamlatdar office.

As a result, as many as 4.5 lakh NFSA cards are made non-use in 4 talukas of Gandhinagar, which includes 2695 in Dahegam, 917 in Kalol, 530 in Kalol and 437 in Gandhinagar. There are 1.16 lakh NFSA card holders and 11031 Antyoday card holder families in Gandhinagar district at present.
