ACB Gujarat nabs Beat Guard of Forest department in Rs. 180 bribe case

Surat: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed the beat guard of Mahuva range in Surat along with another person in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs 180.

The people purchase wood and furniture from the saw mill in Mahuva range forest department. They are supposed to take a pass from the forest department to buy furniture and wood from the saw mill. They have to pay fees as per regulations to get the pass.

ACB planned a decoy trap to verify the information after complains that the employees of the forest department were taking bribes as additional amounts except the fees through saw mills.

ACB executed the decoy trap with help of a decoyer at Bhagwan Saw mill near Bardoli bridge. The accused person Hareshbhai Kantibhai Patel was found taking the bribe of rs 180 on behalf of the accused beat guard Imran Abdul Karim Mehsaniya during the trap. Both accused are detained. DeshGujarat
