Complain against book seller for levying higher rate by applying sticker over MRP

Nadiad: The office of legal metrology in Nadiad received a complaint of a book shop selling textbooks at higher prices than the marked price by applying stickers on the marked price.

Hiteshbhai Parmar, living in Ichchhapura in Bhumel in Nadiad taluka, filed a complaint in the legal metrology office and stated that a book-stall owner in Uttarsanda in Nadiad taluka cheats the customers by applying stickers on the marked price of the textbooks and sells them at higher prices than the marked price.

During purchase of textbooks from the shop on 22nd June, the sticker of Rs 60 was applied on the marked price of Rs 55 on Chitrakala book. Similarly, the sticker of Rs 90 was applied to the marked price of Rs 80 on Hindi practice book and Rs 75 sticker on the marked price of Rs 70 on English practice book, as per complaint. DeshGujarat
