Jamnagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed assistant head constable of Khambhalia Gate police chowki under City-A Division Police Station of Jamnagar in a bribe case of Rs 2500.

The accused assistant head constable Arjanbhai Khimabhai Dangar had demanded a bribe of Rs 6000 from the complainant in the presence of a witness for not torturing and beating the complainant’s associates in the investigation over a plea filed against them. The accused had already taken a bribe of Rs 3500. The complainant had assured to pay the rest Rs 2500 next day.

The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 2500 during a trap executed by ACB. The accused will be nabbed after covid-19 testing. DeshGujarat
