GSRTC introduces payment through cards in 65 buses to start with

Gandhinagar: Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has started the service of issuing tickets through payment usi swipe machines in 65 premium buses on an experimental basis.
The passengers will be able to get tickets through POS machines using their debit, credit cards, or QR code. The service is started on an experimental basis at present. It will also start further in 45 more buses.
GSRTC launched an online passenger reservation system in 2008. It launched the website in 2013 and android and iOS app in 2019. The services of phone booking, change in booking, link service, waiting list, and e-wallet were also started. GSRTC made a revenue of Rs 280.61 crore in the year 2021-22 so far.
