2,000 sq mts more land to be sanctioned for ultra-modern govt library in Rajpipla

Narmada: The district collector of Narmada, DA Shah, is working towards approving 2,000 square meter additional land for an ultra-modern library in Rajpipla after a proposal was received for the same from the state’s Libraries Regulator.
The collector has already approved 1,500 square meter land for the purpose of a district level, government-run library in Rajpipla in the Karjan Colony Complex. The state government had also approved a sum of Rs 2.40 crore for construction of a district-level library building. But, that amount has now been revised and increased to Rs 5.50 crore.
The P.I.U. unit of the Sports Authority of Gujarat, which comes under the sports, youth and cultural activities department of the state government, will now undertake the construction of the ultra-modern library building in 3,500 square meters with a budget of Rs 5.50 crores.
The state government has also increased the amount sanctioned for the construction of a government library building in Dediapada taluka by Rs 1 crore to Rs 3.50 crore. The construction of the library building in Dediapada too will be undertaken by the P.I.U. unit of the Sports Authority of Gujarat. DeshGujarat
