A farmer held for rupturing air valve of pipeline to steal water

Surendranagar: Muli police have nabbed an accused for allegedly using water for irrigation by rupturing the air-valve of a drinking water pipeline passing from Manpar in Muli taluka in Surendranagar.
The pipeline supplies the drinking water to Saurashtra and Kutch from Dhanki in Lakhtar. Muli police had filed a crime on 9th June against the accused farmer from Manpar named Jashvantbhai Labhubhai Agola. The accused had allegedly ruptured the air-valve in the pipeline and used the water for irrigation. The accused had absconded after the crime was filed. The police nabbed the accused after finding him near Vagadiya village bus station. The accused was previously booked under atrocity act, arms act, and giving threats in 2020 at Muli police station.
