Kheda district Congress president resigns from the party

Gandhinagar: Kheda district unit Congress president Rajesh Zala has resigned from the congress party. He is likely to join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

It is learnt that Rajesh Zala had a meeting with state BJP President CR Patil at Shree Kamlam in Gandhinagar about 15 days ago in presence of district level BJP leaders from Kheda.

Zala has alleged that the congress MLAs of Kapadvanj, Mahuva and Thasra behave in improper way with him and no action was taken against them despite he complained several times in Congress party, he alleged.

Rajesh Zala served as Kheda Loksabha youth congress president from 2012 to 2015 and general secretary of Kheda district congress from 2015 to 2018. He served as a delegate of Gujarat congress and president of Kheda district congress from 2018.

Zala is likely to contest from Kapadvanj constituency after joining BJP.

BJP is in power in 90 percent of gram panchayat, 8 out of 10 taluka panchayat, 9 out of 11 municipalities, KDDC bank, cooperative union, and APMC in Kheda district.
